Every year as a child I took a pottery camp at my local arts center, and continued in classes at my high school. A few years after graduating college, I got the urge to pick up the art form again. It felt as if I was returning to myself and connecting to our essential human nature through the craft that revolutionized our development as a species. I am following in the tradition of painting on clay pots that has been practiced for tens of thousands of years and spend several hours a week at my local ceramics studio, and many more in my home studio painting.
