I Love When My Friends Get Engaged to Each Other

This lesbian engagement session in Brooklyn was extra special to me. Typically I'm a simple gal, but there are some occasions where I can't help but go all out. When my friend, Cath, tapped me in to brainstorm ways to capture her surprise proposal to her girlfriend, my dear friend Jenna, I was all too eager to scheme. One fake Instagram photoshoot giveaway later and I was photographing the couple around Williamsburg when Cath got down onto one knee. The backdrop? A poster she designed and wheat-pasted to an iconic green NYC wall with symbolism of their love. We celebrated and laughed about the hoax giveaway together at Williamsburg House of Pizza, but the surprises weren't done. An "offhand" suggestion we get drinks at Crystal Lake lead us to the bar where their family and friends were hiding. This Christmastime proposal will definitely live in my memory forever.
