It seems that City Hall weddings have taken a turn towards cool, especially here in New York, and I'm all for it. I love the juxtaposition of short white dresses and tailored black suits against the not-quite-modern not-quite-outdated green couches of the clerk's office. Couples eagerly waiting to go through the metal detector and get their ceremony number deli-style creates a giddy and unique atmosphere that I can't get enough of. The mundanity of government dealings meets the happiest day of our lives, and somehow it all feels so Wes Anderson.
